Our history

We are a collective of artisans from an indigenous community in the Oaxacan Mixteca region that spins and weaves native cotton since pre-Hispanic times.

We have worked and promoted the revival of the local production of this cotton since 2011.

A large part of our efforts are focused on conservation and teaching future generations about the great importance of the art of spinning, weaving on a backstrap loom and dyeing with artisanal methods, so that our tradition and craft are never lost.
